๐ฒLisha and Her Cousin John’s Little Plan
(Bilingual Narrative about If Clause)
Lisha and her cousin John (Ahmad Karjono) are very close. John often visits Lisha’s house after school, bringing his funny stories and wild ideas.
(Lisha dan sepupunya John (Ahmad Karjono) sangat akrab. John sering berkunjung ke rumah Lisha sepulang sekolah, membawa cerita lucu dan ide-ide anehnya.)
One Friday afternoon, they sit under a big mango tree in the backyard, enjoying the cool breeze.
(Suatu sore di hari Jumat, mereka duduk di bawah pohon mangga besar di halaman belakang, menikmati angin sepoi.)
“If we finish our homework early,” John says excitedly, “we will go cycling to the hill tomorrow!”
(“Kalau kita menyelesaikan PR lebih awal,” kata John bersemangat, “kita akan pergi bersepeda ke bukit besok!”)
Lisha laughs, “That’s great! But if it rains, we will stay home and make hot chocolate instead.”
(Lisha tertawa, “Bagus juga! Tapi kalau hujan, kita akan tetap di rumah dan membuat cokelat panas saja.”)
The next morning.
John grins. “If I had a drone, I would record our cycling trip like in a movie!”
(John menyeringai. “Kalau aku punya drone, aku akan merekam perjalanan kita seperti di film!”)
Lisha shakes her head with a smile, “If you were an action hero, you would bring gadgets everywhere.”
(Lisha menggeleng sambil tersenyum, “Kalau kamu pahlawan aksi, kamu akan membawa alat canggih ke mana-mana.”)
They both laugh loudly, imagining John acting like a secret agent.
(Mereka berdua tertawa keras, membayangkan John beraksi seperti agen rahasia.)
Now that the sun is already up, John says, “If we had gone to the hill earlier this morning, we would have seen the sunrise from up there.”
(Saat matahari sudah naik, John berkata, “Kalau kita sudah pergi ke bukit lebih pagi, kita akan melihat matahari terbit dari sana.”)
Lisha nods gently. “Maybe next time, if we try, we will make it happen.”
(Lisha mengangguk lembut. “Mungkin lain kali, kalau kita berusaha, kita akan mewujudkannya.”)
They walk home with smiles, planning their next mini adventure—just like in John’s favorite spy movies.
(Mereka berjalan pulang sambil tersenyum, merencanakan petualangan kecil berikutnya—seperti di film mata-mata favorit John.)
